Shakin' in the Real World

Monday night, late, and I'm blogging so that I can look people in the eye if I go to blogger meetup on Wednesday night. Where do people find time to blog? Reasons not to blog -

  • Party in Pinjarra, after which I came home with someone else's white cane and at which I woke up to discover that some musicians play best as the sun comes up.
  • Cricket trip to Busselton, where Nanna fed me three scones with jam and cream, I took two wickets, I ran around an awful lot because some guy hit every ball to me, and where I got out for a duck.

  • The Prestige (hey, such a cool plot), Little Miss Sunshine, and Casino Royale on DVD.

  • Swish, which this month left me bruised and sore. I don't think I realised how much guys like a chance to just belt stuff. Bits of bell fly out of the ball. It's so much fun!

So that doesn't look like a very impressive list and most of my time is spent either at work or on the phone to Gill. But tonight's a start and maybe I'll get back into it. Maybe I just needed a break after four years.

Comments:
As long as you're having fun! (and sounds like you are, yay!) Look forward to catching up tomorrow!

If I didn't *have* to keep my blog up to date(no point having mine at all if it's not up to date), then I'd let it slide too. And to be honest, the pocket money helps too, and knowing people find it useful.
But my personal blog... well the english one has one post in 4 months. The dutch one occasionally has gaps of two weeks or more(I am very suprised I manage to keep that up actually!)

Glad you´re ok, I was worrying a bit. But then... a break after four years sounds all right ;-)
Have fun!

Hi Simone, Hi Iris!

Thanks so much for commenting - it's like a little welcome back! :-) I'm sorry to have worried you, Iris. Some nights I have turned the computer on to blog or e-mail and then had to turn it off again without even using it! I don't even watch telly! I hope you're both well, and Simone, I'll look forward to catching up with you tomorrow night.

What I missed the most about not blogging is catching up on your news and reading your comments, so thanks again. :-)

Dee

Deanne, I hope turning on the computer and off again without contacting anyone doesn´t mean anything bad. Ingo was worrying your sight might have worsened. I hope not so - but dancing doesn´t suggest that. So I hope you were just soooo busy! :-)

Hi Simon,

You found me! V. glad to have my cane back and know that M isn't trundling around making do with mine. :-) Yeah, the music was good all night but a very welcome surprise when I woke up. I'm glad my full life included a trip south of the river this weekend too - great to catch up with everyone!
